  1. ​​​Organizational mission first – Leaders are expected to move the mission forward, keep that front and center. 
  2. Listen before speaking – I could say more, but this says it all.
  3. Remain curious – Curiosity will feed your passion about your work.
  4. Commit to innovation – You know the saying, either use it or lose it. This is true not only about yourself, but also for your organization.
  5. Apologize when you’re right – This is especially true for leaders who always think they’re right.  You know who you are, work on this one. ​
